Structures of Kensington (2021)

In this series of images, Jesse uses a straight-on perspective and black and white colouring to allow viewers to recognize and enjoy the structures and textures of Kensington Market buildings. Toronto’s Kensington Market community is known for its abundance of culture, colour and liveliness. While these are all excellent elements to explore, Jesse stripped away some of these in the production of this imagery to reveal some of the more original characteristics of the buildings, such as the shapes of the buildings, masonry patterns, and windows.
